Barrios Concrete Ornaments Ltd. bid a reluctant farewell to the Sackville Industrial Park last month as the company moved its operations to a new home in Mount Uniacke.

“It really wasn’t a matter of choice,” Nina Barrios says about the company’s relocation. “The building we were located in was no longer going to be available and we had to find a new location.”

Barrios produces an extensive line of garden ornaments, including birdbaths, fountains, stepping stones, statues and garden benches. It has been in business since 1979.

The new location, at 25 Richard John Drive, shares space with Bergman Concrete, and arrangement that Nina thinks may produce some synergy for both operations.

“Where we are producing smaller items, Bergman makes a lot of the larger concrete products so we sort of compliment each other,” Nina says.
